Today I walked through the office where I worked and discovered that the secretaries there aghast at the amount of information one could get about someone on the internet. They were busy looking up their names, their kid's names and so on on this new sight that they had been given. Although over the years I have discovered that anyone can almost find anything on the internet maybe I forgot that not everyone else was privy to that. George Orwell's 1984 may not have existed back then but certainly does now. As we stumble into our futures maybe we should be reminded that the thing that most needs our protection is our privacy.
