Much of the suffering and death from cancer could be prevented by more systematic efforts to reduce tobacco use, improve diet and physical activity, and expand the use of established screening tests. This publication provides recent prevalence estimates and trends for major cancer risk factors including tobacco use, obesity, physical activity, nutrition, ultraviolet radiation exposure, and infectious agents, as well as HPV and HBV vaccination uptake and cancer screening use for breast, cervical, colorectal and prostate cancers in US adults.
