Evolution???

I was watching a random channel the other day on TV and saw an advertisement for a show called, "Naked and Scared".  I wanted to know just who would go on a show like that.  Isn't the world challenging enough these days with out trying to go back to caveman days?  I think about all the effort these people are putting into something some would call entertainment and think that the effort and money could be used for something better.  Especially in the time of year we are in shouldn't we be trying to figure out how to make the world a better place.
Now I understand that some may say this is entertainment.  But my previous blog was about how reading has evolved.  Comparing the two I believe that reading by digital means is truly a good evolution, but looking at the types of TV shows that are on I don't believe we are doing better.  Reality may be the death of quality TV.  Maybe it's just me, but when I watch TV I want an escape, a good story whether it is happy or sad.  Just call me old fashion but I don't want to watch naked people try to survive in locations where they would never have been in the first place.
