I am currently working on finishing up my next book, title still up in the air. I like to say that I don't write in a series, but have come to the conclusion that in some sense of the word I do. I love using the same characters over and over again. It's like visiting with an old friend. Except these friends are fairly well trained and highly dangerous. It has also always been a personal preference of mine to read books with the same characters in them for exactly the same reason. This new adventure of Jan and Ward's will have them facing new and much more complex issues; that of terrorist and family. The story is constantly changing from the base now as I go through the final edits and I am loving the pull between what they do and the family they left behind for it. The premise of the book reminds me of a quote from one of the Star Trek Movies, "the needs of one out weighs the needs of the many." I may not have this exactly right but you get the idea.

I should have been finished this book a few weeks ago but life got in the way. I am now currently finishing up my rehab with my broken leg and free to concentrate more on my writing. That said one would think I would have had more time to write with that kind of down time, but sadly no. Since all things took longer to do it seemed a never ending day and once I sat down I needed a rest. Now that I am finally in just a brace life seems so much better. In fact, it fits right in with this book. In the bookExposed (kindle version) or Deadly Minds (paperback version) Jan's leg was broken and in this book she is dealing with the aftermath of that.
